Nine Savannah teens showcased their talents on Friday night
at the first Passion for Fashion Runway Show.
The special night is the culmination of a six week teen
fashion camp put on by Savannah's Dream Campaign and local fashion designer
Merline Labissiere of Provoke Style.
The teen participants learned the basics of branding,
drawing, watercolor and sewing.
"We just wanted to help the girls discover something that
maybe they didn't know they are good at it, and it's just been amazing watching
them create their own designs, sew their own designs, and now they are coming
down on a runway," said Morgan Paddock, director of Dream Campaign.
The Dream Campaign is a nonprofit in Savannah that helps
at-risk youth discover their strengths, develop and dream for their future.
