Arts and crafts big hit at Beaufort Water Festival

The 59th annual Beaufort Water Festival is a whirlwind of fun, offering so many things to do and see.

The Arts and Craft Market is full of talent, with 46 vendors selling soaps, pens made out of wood and leather belts, all homemade.

Patrons can spend the day walking through the festival's Arts and Crafts Market. Patrons will find so many treasures, like handmade purses and belts, pottery, soap made out of plant based oils and creative window charms made out of light bulbs.

"What lit up your world in one way before lights up your world in another way now," said Ruthi Haner of Aww Humbugs.

Haner is the owner and founder of Aww Humbugs, and she just started her business last December. This is her first year at the Water Festival.

"People are loving them," she said.

And judging by the crowd, people seem to love the handmade crafts here, and if you're a little one, they're also painting faces, too.

"It's been really enjoyable," said Margaret Artlip from the Beaufort Water Festival. "We've had, except for a day, great weather, a lot of fun, people and some pretty decent business."

The Arts and Craft market will be open until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
