Teen Charged with Felony Murder in Hit and Run

A 13-year-old boy accused of causing a wreck that killed a four-year-old girl will be tried as an adult. Today authorities arraigned Donald Mitchell on charges of felony murder.

Police say Mitchell was driving a stolen car Sunday night, ran a stop sign at the intersection of Gwinnett and Paulsen Streets, hit a red Geo Metro, and then ran away from the scene.

Four-year-old Janeya Mitchell was riding in the front seat of the car Mitchell hit. She died at the hospital from her injuries. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
