SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Bond has been denied for a man accused of terroristic threats on Tybee Island.

Donald Cowart, A.K.A. "Tybee Dac" Cowart, is accused of threatening to shoot police officers in the face. He is also charged with marijuana possession.

Cowart's record goes back two decades. His most recent trouble came when he brought a loaded gun into a Tybee city council meeting in December 2013 and was arrested.

Last week, detectives agreed to meet with Cowart in Tybee's Memorial Park after receiving several complaints from businesses and City Hall staff that Cowart had been harassing them.

Police say Cowart turned on the officers at the park meeting and threatened to shoot them.
