SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

More and more companies are going smoke free, and now Gulfstream employees tell WTOC that they've been told smoking will be banned from their workplace effective January 1, 2015, and that includes e-cigarettes.

There is soon to be no smoking in parking lots or anywhere on Gulfstream property.

Gulfstream officials sent out a tobacco-free warning letter to employees who then took to social media to either vent their frustration or applaud the move, depending on their preference.

In the letter, Gulfstream says the decision is a way to encourage employees and their families to lead healthier lives. However, customers will have designated smoking areas.
