AT&T responds to rogue Facebook page

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

People were clearly speachless, after reading this comment:

"It's not our fault your broke _____ wanted everything for free. We don't want you to come back to AT&T. This ____ aint charity. take your ____ up to verizon ____."

This comment and another, dated just yesterday, appear to come from a Facebook page claiming to be the AT&T Berwick store just off Ogeechee Road in Savannah.

The first seemed to respond to a customers review from a few months ago.

The comments were already removed before Thursday morning, but customers were quick to screenshot them and post them on online forums like Reddit.

We reached out to corporate AT&T who told us:

We have determined this to be a rogue page, unaffiliated with AT&T. Unfortunately, the proliferation of unaffiliated social accounts plagues many brands - and individuals - and is something we're always monitoring for. Our social media team worked quickly with the platform to take the page down, and it is now removed.
