The day after Thanksgiving is a time many shoppers head to the malls to get good deals. In fact, many hit the outlet malls on Hilton Head Island beginning at 4am just to save a few bucks.
"It's been very hectic here this morning, very hectic," said Vicky Anderson, who works at Carter's at Tanger Outlets.
But most shoppers don't seem to mind. "They always have the best deals, especially the day after Thanksgiving," said Gwen Walten.
And those deals are what many shoppers are seeking out. In fact, most shoppers tell us they're saving 25, 40, 50 even 70 percent. "So far everything has been 50 percent off or more," said Amanda Gundrum.
"The prices are great; 50 percent off, 70 percent off," agreed Maurine Perry.
And Pat Mastrovito said, "They're practically giving things away here so I'm buying things for my grandchildren."
That's why Mastrovito and her family are out fighting the long lines and crowded parking lots. "You get a lot of product for your money, you really do."
Not to mention all the fun they're having. "It's fun being out, it's a great day, we're getting lots of bargains and that's what it's all about."
Beside all the good deals going on inside each of the different stores, the outlet mall itself is giving away $5-off gift certificates to reel shoppers back in. And it seems to be working.
