PHOENIX (KPNX/CNN) – Phoenix firefighters were called to help free a dog who got his head stuck in a decorative cinder block.
It is believed the dog spent the night stuck in the wall before a neighbor saw him and reported the problem.
Firefighters held the dog’s head still while they used tools to carefully break apart the concrete holding him in place and returned the dog to his owner.
“He is a wild dog, and I can’t believe … he has tried to run away at my other house and I can’t believe he tried to do it again,” his owners said.
Given the nature of his rescue, the dog has an ironic name – Chip.
