Teens hold candlelight vigil for Jacob Saxton

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - A solemn moment as friends gathered to remember Jacob Saxton, who died after crashing his SUV Saturday.

Dozens of young people gathered for a candlelight vigil at a park in Sylvester. They said prayers and held hands.

The Georgia State Patrol believes alcohol was a factor in the fatal crash.

Saxton's best friend encourages other teens not to drink and drive.

"You might think you can do it but you truly can't. Its not the best thing to do, just sleep in your vehicle or get somebody to drive you home," says best friend Chris Lavant.

Saxton was just 17 years old. Two other passengers were in the SUV, but were not injured.
