Mississippi County man accused of assaulting elderly couple

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Authorities say an Anniston, Missouri man is facing charges after an assault investigation by the Mississippi County sheriff's office.

Troy Alexander "Bo-Diddily" Knupp, 48, of Anniston, was charged with domestic assault first degree and domestic assault second degree.

According to the sheriff's office, Knupp hit the elderly man, knocking him to the ground. He reportedly attacked the elderly woman. The injured woman was taken to a local hospital.

Knupp was booked into the Mississippi County Detention Center.
