RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

The stages are almost set for the fifth annual Richmond Jazz Festival.

There are three stages this year and that's one big change, meaning more music than ever. This year more than 30 acts are part of the Jazz Festival. People are expected to come from across the country and the world in droves.

But just like last year there may be an unwanted guest, the rain. Organizers are making some new accommodations that should keep you dry.

"We definitely recommend that our patrons wear ponchos. We are allowing small umbrellas this year but we want you to keep in mind that if you do have your umbrella up, keep in mind we don't want you to block the view of patrons behind you," said Jazz Fest organizer Jasmine Roberts.

Shuttles to Maymont will also be available from certain parking locations. There will be food vendors, along with wine tastings.

"We still have our artist meet and greet where patrons can go and get autographs from their favorite artists or a photo. We have our complimentary wine tasting area," said Roberts.

So, grab you picnic baskets and coolers but leave behind the alcohol and sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
