Email from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport regarding timeline of I-95 expansion project

All, just for the record, the referenced project is scheduled to begin on August 8 and will continue until its scheduled completion date of November 25, 2014.

The contractor, RB Baker, has begun the submittal process and will begin installation of erosion control measures later this week.  Surveyors have and will be on site over the next few weeks as well.

There will be slow progress early on due to the submittal approval process but some work will still be ongoing such as saw-cutting of concrete and asphalt and other miscellaneous demolition work.

The contractor will perform most of the work between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am Monday through Friday with some work being done on Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be some work taking place during the day only within certain hours.  No work will be done between these times:  7:00am – 9:00am, 11:30am – 1:30pm, & 4:00pm  - 7:00pm.
