Cornhole tournament held to benefit "Surfers for Autism"

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Salt-2-Sand Surf Company hosted a cornhole tournament and silent auction at Molly McGuire's Restaurant on Saturday.

The proceeds benefited "Surfers for Autism," a non-profit organization that introduces children with Autism Spectrum Disorders to surfing.

"Last year, we had a great turnout with the community and a lot of positive feedback, so we had to do it again this year. Molly was great enough to host the event here again this year. Despite the weather, everyone is out in good spirits, because they know it is for a great cause," said Jim Muenckler, Surfers for Autism.

The 4th Annual Tybee Island Surfers for Autism is going to be held on Saturday, September 6th, on the south side of the Tybee pier.
