Man arrested in Seiler Avenue Shooting

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Leonardo Lamont "Scoochie" Anderson has been arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault in the shooting of 2 men on Seiler Avenue on July 18th, 2014 resulting in the death of Arkeen Abron.

Anderson turned him self in on the morning of August 10th at the Chatham County Detention Center.

The shooting was on the 1200 block of Seiler Avenue leaving Showkey Barnes, age 37, with serious injuries.

Arkeen Abron, age 29, died of his injures after being transported to Memorial University Medical Center.

Anderson has an extensive criminal history and served a 10 year sentence from 1998 to 2008 for robbery, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Detectives are continuing to search for Leonardo Divinci Lark also known as "Rock" for questioning in the case.

    Orange Crush 2018 is in full effect this weekend, but so is the alcohol ban across Tybee Island. Law enforcement has been preparing for this huge annual event for some time. Patrol cars were lined up along Highway 80 as a cautionary measure to deter drinking and driving.
