Couple sentenced for 2010 Valley AL capital murder

VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -

John Bradley Limes and Leslie Lea King pleaded guilty in court for the Nov. 2010 murder of Kathlene Lucile Landino of Valley, Ala.

Judge Steve Perryman, 5th Judicial Circuit Court Judge, accepted their guilty plea on Tuesday, Aug. 12. Limes and King are both sentenced to Life without the possibility of parole.

Landino's son, Todd King, found her body on Nov. 23, 2010, when he returned home from work at around 8 a.m. Landino had been repeatedly stabbed and bludgeoned to death.

Valley Police say suspicion immediately fell on Todd's estranged wife, Leslie, and her boyfriend, Limes. Authorities caught them the next day in Phenix City. They were in possession of several pieces of Landino's property.

Limes and  Leslie were both charged with Capital Murder during the commission of a Robbery. They were brought back to the Valley Police Department where they both confessed to the crimes.
