Home Depot donates school supplies to Hardeeville Elementary

HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

Hardeeville Elementary School got quite a surprise on Tuesday: boxes of free school supplies for first and second grade students.

The supplies were donated to the school from Home Depot on Abercorn Street.

The store donates to a school every year, and this time they decided to choose a school in South Carolina.

The store donated books, Zip-Lock bags, glue sticks and so much more.

"We're very grateful," said Principal Wanda Bostick. "Our students are in need. We have a lot of kids who come to school and don't have all the school supplies they need, so having donations such as these, it will help our students go a long way in school."

Jasper County students go back to school on Monday, along with Beaufort County schools.
