Stratton Leopold remembers Robin Williams

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

People all over the world are trying to come to terms with the loss of actor and comedian Robin Williams.

Savannahian and Hollywood producer Stratton Leopold first met Williams 30 years ago when he was starring in Stratton's film "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen."

Leopold said the two remained friends ever since, and he said Williams' legacy will last a long, long time.

"I think it will be a master of improvisational comedy, a master at that," Leopold said. "A master of taking a character and adding to it so much that wasn't on the page. That creates magic."

An autopsy showed Williams took his own life by hanging. He was 63 years old.
