Richland Co. deputies in search of missing 12-year-old girl

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is searching for 12-year-old Rashia Weller.

Authorities say Weller left her foster parents' home in Eastover on Sunday and has not been since. Weller, according to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, is originally from Hartsville and was placed in Eastover by the Darlington Department of Social Services in early August.

Lott believes Weller may be "in harm's way" and is asking for the community's assistance in finding her.

Deputies say Weller has black hair and brown eyes and stands at 5-8 weighing about 95 pounds. According to Lt. Curtis Wilson of the Richland County Sheriff's Department, Weller was last seen wearing black shorts with pink stripes along with a black and pink shirt.

Citizens with information regarding Weller's whereabouts are urged to submit an anonymous tip to  Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC (1-888-274-6372). Tips leading to the discovery of Weller could earn up to $1,000.
