East Toledo man's home broken into twice despite security system

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

An east Toledo man is looking for answersafter his home was the target of thieves - not once, but twice in the last fiveweeks.

The first burglary happened in July. Someonekicked in the back door at a home on Milton Street, took a laptop, tablet andcash and then ran off.

The man who lives in the home says he theninstalled a security system, hoping it would prevent something like that fromhappening again. But the system didn't stop someone from kicking in thedoor again on Aug. 13 and taking off with his new laptop.

"It's been two months and I'vebeen broken into twice, and other people have been broken into," Michael Kuhnlesaid. "It seems like it's the same people and they're not caught and it justgets easier and easier for them."

Kuhnle says he wants to see more policeofficers cruise the neighborhood and is asking his neighbors to look out foreach other.

If you have any information that can help policefind those responsible for the burglaries, call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
