The two men accused of murdering 21-year-old Travis Koon were denied bond after their first court appearance Monday.

According to Hampton County police, Koon was shot and killed early Saturday at O'Brien's Pool Hall in Estill.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. on Browning Gate Road and the two suspects were arrested on Sunday.

Casey Givens was arrested for murder and Craig Sanders was arrested for accessory after the fact.

According to the owner, Koon and Givens got into an argument over Koon's girlfriend. The argument heated up and that's when multiple shots were fired at Koon.

The owner said this is the first time something like this has happened. She said she also knew the men really well.

"He shot one time...then he hesitated...then he unloaded on him," the owner said. "You know... I mean, I couldn't do nothing. All I could think about was all these other people and trying to get them back in the building."

What happened that night will forever be etched in this business owner's mind, and she said she's convinced this was no accident.

"I have no doubt in my mind that after the hesitation he meant to kill him. No doubt in my mind," she said.

Koon died on the scene.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
