Lowcountry school holds annual 'Running of the Halls'

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Students were running back to school in the Lowcountry Tuesday morning at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Bluffton.

The "Running of the Halls" is an annual tradition that happens after the morning bell is rung on the first day.

Students get to run with their classes, screaming up and down the halls of the school to signify the start of the new school year. It also gives students the chance to get it out of their systems as they will not be allowed to do it again all year.
