WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWBT) -

President Barack Obama will deliver a statement at 12:45 p.m. regarding the release of a video showing ISIS extremists beheading American journalist James Wright Foley.

The video released Tuesday shows Foley giving a prepared statement blaming the president's authorization of air strikes in Iraq for his own death. Foley was executed shortly afterward.

U.S. intelligence confirmed the authenticity of the video, according to the White House.
