More charges filed against former Fayette Co. scout leaders

 LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - Twin brothers who have served as Boy Scout leaders in Fayette County are accused of abusing the trust parents put in them. 

Jerry Cassidy and Jack Cassidy are already been arrested on child porn charges and they now face additional charges.

The Cassidy's, both 76, were in court Aug. 20. Their case was sent to a grand jury. 

Lexington police say they found hundreds of images of naked boys when the searched the Cassidy's home.

Since their arrest several people have come forward claiming they were victims of the Cassidy brothers while the men were serving as Boy Scout leaders.

"I'm a big man," said John, one of the alleged victims, "but still when you're 12 years old you can't defend yourself."

The brothers are charged with possession of child pornography, among with indecent and immoral practices.

    After years of an almost complete moratorium, the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council voted 12 to 1 Monday to open a limited 2017 red snapper fishing season in the South Atlantic. If approved by NOAA Fisheries, the season will likely begin in mid-to late October.
