Alee Shriners of Savannah host first annual car show

The first ever Alee Shriners Mobile Unit Classics Open Class Car Show was held Saturday, at the Alee Shrine, on Eisenburg Drive.

Cars entered in the show were judged by a member of each branch of service including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

"It makes me feel great, just trying to be a part of this and this is for a great event, the Alee Temple, the Shriners, and Theif Charities," said Major Lester Claxton of the United States Air Force.

"I'm just glad, and honored to be a part of it."

Cars, motorcycles, and pickups were all highlighted in the car show, and 80 awards were given out to winners in different categories.

All proceeds from the event go to the Alee Shrine Mobile Unit Classics.
