If you remember about two months ago Turbo, the puppy who was severely burned by an unknown chemical, he now is on the mend and has a new home.
Turbo had five surgeries at Tybee Animal Care. The owner of the vet hospital, Dr. Jerry Williams, adopted Turbo and plans to take him into schools to teach about animal cruelty.
"We thought that if we could take Turbo's injuries and use him as an example for children to not be cruel to animals, that this terrible thing that happened to Turbo could turn into a positive," said Williams.
"So we are starting an organization called don't be cruel."
He also plans to take Turbo into hospitals as a therapy dog to help burn patients.
