EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A man who authorities say shot at two deputies in June was in court Wednesday.

Eric Ramon Harrison, 41, was arrested on June 8 when Effingham County sheriff's deputies responded to a house on Raccoon Drive on a report of a domestic disturbance involving a man with a gun.

When deputies tried to get Harrison out of the house, he walked outside and fired at the deputies. He then went back inside before deputies could return fire, but he surrendered after a brief standoff.

Harrison, already a convicted felon, faces attempted murder charges. He pled not guilty in court Wednesday morning.

No new court date has been scheduled at this time.

Harrison remains in the Effingham County Jail.
