2 men die in overnight shootings in Savannah

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the shooting deaths of two men involved in two separate incidents on Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The first of the shootings happened around 8:25 p.m. on Friday in the parking lot of Overtime Sports Bar and Grill on the 4400 block of Skidaway Road.

The victim Devonte Mumford, age 21, of South Parkwood Drive was found with a gunshot wound and transferred to Memorial University Medical Center where he later died.

The second shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Liberty Street.

The victim, Antonio Duncan, age 37, of the 4100 block of Heard Street, was shot while traveling north inside a vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Duncan was also transported to Memorial University Medical Center but died due to his injuries.

Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Violent Crimes detectives are continuing to investigate both shootings.
