17 people helped in 3 weekend fires by Red Cross

American Red Cross volunteers from Chatham, Bulloch, and Toombs Counties responded to three separate fires on Labor Day weekend displacing 17 residents total.

The fire in Toombs County occurred at 290 East Westly Avenue in Lyons displacing two adults and one child. Red Cross did provide food, clothes, and shelter to the family.

The fire in Bulloch County occurred at 290 Shallowtail Drive in Statesboro displacing one adult and two children. Red Cross provided the family with money for clothes and food. The family will be staying with relatives.

The fire in Chatham County occurred at 1350 Exley Drive at an apartment complex displacing seven adults and two children. Red Cross provided the families with emergency food and shelter.
