A late-night shooting on Savannah's east side has a teenager recovering from wounds in the hospital. Violent crimes detectives aren't releasing much information, but witnesses tell us, just before 10pm last night, two young men began arguing with two other men near East 56th and Honduras Streets.
At some point, at least one person pulled a gun and began firing. A-17-year old was hit at least two times in the back as he was running away. He was taken to Memorial Health for treatment.
Two of the men involved in the shooting jumped into a car and sped away, but came back around and opened fire again. Police found about 14 spent rounds at one end of the street, and about a dozen more at the other end.
