Dog killed during home invasion, suspects remain at large

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Police are searching for the suspects who were involved in an armed home invasion in Windsor Forest. One of the victims spoke exclusively to WTOC about the terrifying incident.

Willliams Causey has just one message for the suspects who held him and his roommates at gunpoint and killed his dog.

"If I could say something to these boys…you need to stop before your finger slips and you shoot somebody by accident. You may be hard up for cash, but you are going to shoot somebody and you are going to regret it," he said.

Causey said the gunmen weren't wearing masks or gloves and forced everyone to the ground.

"The gunman had guns on us, while one walked through the house taking laptops and all of our cell phones," he said. "Then they asked me for a bag. I am pleading for them to get the guns off me while the other guy is taking a TV…putting the gun on my head, my neck, my back…telling me to shut up."

Causey said after some time the men left the home on foot. Then shortly after, he found his dog bleeding in the kitchen.

"These people took TV 's and stuff, but they could have just asked for those things. They didn't need to go killing my dog, no sense of security here," he said.

Detectives are still trying to figure out exactly what happened so they can catch those responsible for the crimes.
