Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. That's why the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce brought business leaders together today. It's all part of the chamber's annual meeting at the Crowne Plaza.
Throughout the year, the chamber talked to businesses about their concerns. Today they addressed them and talked about ways to help the small businesses survive.
"Health insurance is a tough problem," said the chamber's Charlie Clark. "Small businesses often have a tough time offering that benefit, as well as traffic and commuting along 278 are concerns for businesses."
Wally Amos, the man behind Famous Amos Cookies, was the keynote speaker.
