Oliver, Reynolds to Leave SCMPD

Two senior officers will soon be leaving the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.

Col. Robert Oliver served as Chatham County police chief before the 2003 merger announcement. Since then, he has acted as the assistant to Chief Dan Flynn. He's retiring at the end of this month.

Major Dan Reynolds, a 30-year veteran, accepted a position as the chief of police in Greer, South Carolina.

Chief Flynn named Maj. Willie Lovett as the acting assistant police chief while he searches to fill the vacated positions.
