Burton Firefighters Promoted

Some well-deserved recognition for some brave men who put their lives on the line when we need them most: firefighters.

Burton fire chief Harry Rountree promoted Robert Anderson, Stan Ganshow and Rick Krob to the rank of lieutenant in a special ceremony yesterday.

"It means a great deal to me," said Lt. Anderson. "A lot of hard work, it's a goal I've been trying to obtain for a long time. A lot of long classes, training, studying, it's a tremendous responsibility."

But it's a responsibility these firefighters are proud to take on. And of course we congratulate them on their achievement.
