Gloria Edwards and Greg Sapp were sworn in on the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education last night, along with incumbents Lori Brady and Jaine Fowles.
The board's under the microscope, since the school district is on probation and could lose accreditation. Plus, members are facing an angry recall drive that could force some out of office.
"There's always challenges," said Sapp. "These are new challenges that have arisen since I first became interested in running for school board, but these aren't challenges that can't be overcome."
Sapp and Edwards want to get past current problems quickly and get to work improving the schools.
