Savannah-Chatham police are looking for at least two suspects after an overnight break-in at a Savannah seafood store. About 12:45am this morning, police were alerted that a burglary was in progress at Russo's Seafood at Abercorn and 40th Streets.
When officers arrived, they found someone had thrown a cinderblock at the front door and pushed back the shatterproof glass. Witnesses reported two men came out of the store, one carrying a large white box. Both were seen heading to the back of the building.
A police K-9 unit tracked the suspects but they managed to get away.
Inside the store, they left a mess. Beside the smashed door, they had thrown the cash register on the floor. The store owner tells police they didn't get away with much.
