Georgia's insurance commissioner is coming under fire for campaign finance reporting violations. A state ethics panel fined John Oxendine $750 for violations dating back to the mid 1990s.
They say Oxendine failed to disclose some contributions on his state campaign finance reports. They also say he illegally took contributions from a donor which his office regulates.
The fines were issued back in 1998, but the state ethics commission did not address the matter until Friday.
