A big honor for Memorial Health, named one of the 100 best employers in America by Fortune magazine, for the second year in a row. And the hospital moved up this year, from 54th to 48th overall.
Employees helped earn the honor, with some 350 surveyed at random by the magazine.
"Two thirds of a Fortune rating comes from our own people and their survey, and we think that means positive things," said Bob Colvin, the hospital's president and CEO. "Not only for our team members, but we think if we have satisfied team members working here, we're going to have satisfied patients leaving here."
Memorial Health was one of six employers in Georgia to make the prestigious list, and the only hospital. Colvin says they'll use constructive feedback to try to move up again next year.
