Hot spots are preventing investigators from finding out what caused a Toombs County landmark to go up in flames earlier this week.
Tuesday night, fire broke out at the old Elberta Inn in Lyons. Firefighters worked well into the early-morning hours Wednesday morning to get the flames under control. State fire investigators can't start their investigation until the hot spots have cooled off, but even today it's still smoldering.
