Allegiant Air has announced that they are coming back to Savannah-Hilton Head, and will be offering low cost travel.
They will offer three new, non-stop routes from cities in Ohio. Those will include Akron, Columbus, and Cincinnati. And to celebrate, the company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will introduce the new services with up to $500 off vacation packages and one-way fares as low as $57.
"Allegiant is excited to announce Savannah / Hilton Head as its newest seasonal destination city," said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. "We know Savannah / Hilton Head is a popular vacation destination, and Ohio residents in particular have been requesting we start service here for quite some time. We're glad we can announce these three routes that Ohio travelers will be sure to take advantage of."
"Times are different now, and there's certainly the renaissance has been taking place on Hilton Head Island, as well as all the great things that are going on in Savannah," said Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce President Bill Miles. "We think that we have the capabilities in market now that will be able to sustain allegiant and we look forward to renewing that partnership."
Allegiant has already tried Savannah back in 2010 offering direct flights to and from Savannah and Ft. Lauderdale, but the profits weren't there and Allegaint pulled their flights in 2011.
