The advisory task force for the Savannah-Chatham Board of Education met this morning in public. The group made a lot of progress in the hour-long meeting.
They made several recommendations for the school board, including setting up an office where parents can make complaints rather than going directly to school board members.
Spokesperson Ann Crowder says the task force is taking its job seriously. "I am 62 years old. Why else would I be here? Why else would the mayor or Dr. Brown or Dr. Thomas be here but to help this school board? We are coming here because we want to help."
The task force plans to meet again in two weeks.
