An innocent dog was the victim of a vicious attack. Police say yesterday, 17-year-old Manny Engram beat a pit bull with an metal pole while it was chained up on East Broad Street near East 31st Lane in Savannah.
Animal control officers took the dog to the emergency vet clinic and it is now back with its owner.
Police charged Engram with aggravated animal cruelty, a felony. He remains behind bars this evening.
