They're remembering Brandon Brown, singing his praises and honoring his service to the community. One year ago, a car hit brown, killing him.
He was a student of Savannah High School, and a member of the Chatham County Youth Commission.
Last night, family and friends held a gospel concert and candlelight vigil in his honor. Loved ones say it's a fitting tribute to all Brown for the community.
"His memory will never die," said friend Romain Wright. "It will always live on, we will continue to uphold him, and the things that he taught us and showed us. We all kind of joked around and had fun."
Brown's family has also set up a memorial fund in his honor.
