The Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education is moving forward with its search for a new superintendent. Yesterday, they voted to hire Proact to help with the search. Board members say the headhunting company is a nice fit, performing good searches in Montgomery, Alabama and Gainesville, Florida.
"They engage the community in a dialogue that helps fit a good superintendent in those communities," said board president Hugh Golson. "And that's what we're looking for in Savannah."
After hiring Proact, the board plans to talk to them about timelines for the search and have them come into Savannah to meet with the board.
