USO Turns 64

The United Service Organization, known best as the USO, held a very special celebration this afternoon. The group turned 64 today.

For their birthday, the YMCA gave them a $5,000 check. The money will go to expand the military reception room at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.

The USO is an organization that provides our military with everyday supplies before they deploy. "We're there to support them and that's our mission is to show them that we have their back," said local president Mitchell Bush.

The military reception room is expanding to accommodate all the Marines that will now be shuttled through the airport after graduating from Parris Island.
