Summer Food Service Program - WTOC-TV: Savannah, Beaufort, SC, News, Weather & Sports

Summer Food Service Program

Summer feeding is essential to ensuring proper nutrition for children at-risk for hunger since they do not have access to free or reduced-price school lunches when school is out of session. This summer, the food bank will provide over 53,000 balanced meals for children, at-risk for hunger, in Appling, Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, Tattnall, Toombs, and Wayne Counties.

Second Harvest is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Agriculture funded Summer Food Service Program to ensure nutritious meals for children of low-income families in our area.
