Family and friends of Hassan Johnson held a candlelight vigil in his honor last night in Savannah. The group lit candles and prayed for their loved one.
One year ago yesterday, Johnson's body was found in the 2200 block of Bolling Street, off Pennsylvania Avenue. He had been shot to death.
Now loved ones are honoring his life. "He was just always happy and outgoing," said cousin Reeshemah Johnson. "He was very important to me. Hassan and my son were very close."
Police arrested Jardi Brown for Hassan's murder in March.
