The federal government charged Broderick and Brandon Dass with multiple firearm violations. Yesterday, the father and son entered guilty pleas. Broderick pleaded guilty to possessing firearms and explosives while Brandon pleaded guilty to having an illegal machine gun.
Last July, police arrested the Dasses after a munitions explosion in a Savannah garbage container. When police searched their home, they found a large cache of weapons and an anti-tank warhead under the building.
Broderick faces 20 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. Brandon could get ten years and a $250,000 fine.
