Delta flight from La Guardia to DFW diverts, low fuel

GREENVILLE, Texas (AP) - A Delta Air Lines regional jet flying from La Guardia Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth during storms had to divert to a small North Texas airport to refuel.

WFAA-TV reports ( ) Flight 7306 safely landed at Greenville Municipal Airport-Majors Field on Thursday night, refueled and continued on to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Nobody was hurt. The plane, operated by Shuttle America, was at Majors Field in Greenville, 60 miles northeast of DFW airport, for about two hours.

Delta on Saturday referred questions to Shuttle America, which didn't immediately return a message. Airport officials in Greenville, which does not have commercial service, also did not immediately comment.

Passenger Jeanette Jones told WFAA that the crew handed out snacks to passengers, who remained on board during refueling, until the flight resumed.
