Green Appeals Murder Conviction

A murder case back in the courts. In February, 2002, Bernard Green got life in prison for killing Gail Vasilkioti in downtown Savannah. Green tried to rob her and her boyfriend. When Vasilkioti ran away, Green shot her.

Green's attorney argued the boyfriend's identification of Green and his testimony were tainted by news coverage of the trial. They're appealing to the Georgia Supreme Court.

It could take months for them to rule.
