Soldier indicted in River Street struggle during St. Patrick's Day

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A soldier accused of assaulting a woman and injuring a Chatham County deputy on River Street during Saint Patrick's Day weekend has now been indicted.

Samuel Cox has been formally charged with several charges, including terroristic threats, obstruction of an officer, and simple assault and battery.

Chatham County deputies say Cox body slammed a woman on River Street, and then there was a struggle with law enforcement to keep him from jumping in the river.
